After being victorious in the South Wales Entry Class Regional Final and wining the best portfolio award, we were invited to assist the F1 in Schools National Final as VIP guests at Silverstone Circuit. (Home of the British Grand Prix.) On the 19th of March we left our schools at 5:30 am for a 4 hour journey to the finals. On arriving there we were extremely impressed with the quality of both Development and Professional class teams. The team members attention and interest were different so we managed to cover every field that we needed to understand for next year. Some members were very interested in the Denford manufacturing and testing equipment, most notably the wind tunnel. Other members were intrigued by the competition aspect of things like the racing and pit displays. While other members enjoyed the racing simulation games! We asked a lot of questions and learned a lot of new facts and technlogies that we could use in the future. Another great experience was to see the huge track and various cars such as Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche.
