Team Vulcan is a group of six year 9 pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin - Guilhem Lloyd, Cayo Jones, Gareth Jones, Dylan Pearce-Taylor, Dafydd Waters and Josh Morbey. We are currently the champions for the South Wales Entry Class competition that happened on the 9th of March 2018. All six of us came together to create the team at the start of year 9, when we heard that we had the opportunity to compete in the Formula 1 in schools competition. This year, we will be competing in the Formula 1 in schools Development class competition for South Wales. We decided to get involved firstly, because all six of us, have since an early age had a great passion for cars, speed and science. When our teacher, Mr Robyn Davies, proposed the opportunity to get involved in a big  design and technology project, based on cars,  none of us hesitated to put our names on the list.  We all knew our different capabilities. Some of us have skills in design and technology, others in maths and science, and in written and verbal work. This competition was a chance to use these different abilities to make a good car, a good presentation and a successful portfolio.
